A lovely still life by Polish emigre artist, Guta Vardy (1927-1992). Cubist and modernist influences combine to create a powerful and angular, still life scene. The piece is titled 'Still life with Lemons' and painted with oil onto board.
The piece measures: 60cm x 50cm and is housed in a period, painted wooden trim. Signed and dated bottom left and again to the back on the artists own Gallery label. Some crazing to the paintwork.
