This powerful and dynamic oil is a gorgeous example of Postwar, British painting. Dated 1970 and signed Morris to the bottom right margin.
The painting evokes duneland landscapes and rolling summer downlands. Echos of The St Ives school of painters and also the Welsh painter, Elis Gwyn Jones. Our Morris has yet to be attributed....more digging needed.
